I can't be the only one who, upon hearing that the Big Three auto company executives were going to drive to hearings in Washington, imagined them in a cartoon Wacky Race.
Then, successively, The Great Race. And Smokey and the Bandit.
They all claimed to be driving hybrids, but they could be stylin' in Ed "Big Daddy" Roth-style souped-up cars.
Maybe the most appropriate would be a Death Race 2000 style competition.
